About This Spot

Stepping into Bar Restaurant Suec 'El Quijote' is like arriving at a beloved neighborhood retreat tucked just beside Benidorm’s old town. The pace here slows with a comforting familiarity — a blend of lively chatter and quiet moments shared over plates that speak of tradition and care. Whether seated on the warm terrace or inside where sunlight filters softly, the atmosphere strikes a balance between casual ease and heartfelt hospitality.

The essence of dining here goes beyond the food itself; it’s in those small human moments — the friendly nod of the host, the easy laughter between diners, and the simple pleasure of savoring dishes that evoke the richness of Spanish coastal cuisine alongside unexpected Nordic touches. From the gentle steam rising off freshly cooked mussels to the inviting aroma of sizzling gambas, every bite feels rooted in both the land and the sea.

Menus at 'El Quijote' encourage sharing and discovery, with flavors that invite conversation and connection across the table. Sangria glistens in glasses while paella, mingling chicken and seafood, brings a taste of local heritage to life. The kitchen’s respect for classic recipes and generous portions offers a reassuring, honest experience — one where every meal is an invitation to slow down and savor the company around you.

With its welcoming spirit and genuine charm, this corner spot is where visitors easily become regulars, drawn back by its unpretentious warmth and the feeling of belonging it effortlessly creates. It’s less about the fanfare and more about the love quietly infused into each dish and smile shared.

What a lovely traditional Spanish restaurant on the edge of the old town. We had dinner here one night and the set lunch on another day. The food was delicious and traditional and the portions generous. We had a three course lunch with a drink for €16 each, great value for money and the host was lovely with us. We’ll be back

We have now dined here 4 times and have enjoyed the food and the service each time. We have had the set lunch menu each time and have shared 2 meals between the 3 of us which the owner is happy to allow! The drinks are lovely and cold and the girls have voted Pedro's sangria the best they have had in Benidorm. The ambience is nice either outside or indoors. Certainly no complaints from us and we would definitely recommend.

Just had a fabulous lunch. Set menu 16 euro,... We had capachio, salad, bread and alioli, 1 pork escalope, 1 Sole (a whole one I add), desert half a bottle of wine and a beer .... Food was lovely and can't believe the value ..... Highly recommended

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant, we went there 3 times in our stay in Benidorm! The tapas were authentic and flavorful, and the steak and mussels were simply outstanding. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, offering great recommendations with a smile. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a charming outdoor terrace that adds to the experience. Highly recommend for anyone looking to enjoy delicious, authentic food in a cozy, welcoming atmosphere!

The paella was perfectly cooked and full of authentic flavor, and the sangria was just right — refreshing and delicious. The service was quick and friendly, and the lady who served us was especially kind and attentive. Overall, a wonderful experience.
